When I was only 6, my dad busted a crime ring. We got a lot of threats, afterward. Making my dad fearful. When him and my mom were discussing it, I overheard about the danger. About an hour later, my mom took me to the beach right before a storm. She was surfing the monster waves. I lost sight of her and ran to the shore, getting swept up by a wave. She saved me, but at the cost of her life. I blamed my dad for not being there for her. But, I know deep down he would have saved her if he could.
