Mavìe is an original character in an ATLA AU, born into the royal family of Valiert, a Russian-French inspired nation. Her parents abused her physically and emotionally, leaving her deaf in her right ear from constant shouting. Her older brother, Romanov, is the crown prince with an ushanka, a facial scar, and a flirtatious personality. When Mavìe is 15, her mother is assassinated and her father dies in a ship crash, making Romanov king. Mavìe previously burned a mask onto the back of her face and wears it to hide her emotions. At age 13, Mavìe had briefly been Zuko's first friend outside Azula before they lost contact. Unaware of the Agni Kai or Zuko's scar, Azula recruits Mavìe to find him. Mavìe dislikes Azula and Mai, but she is best friends with Ty Lee. She masters non-bending, white flame, and blue flame, and Azula's team is careful not to anger her. Sent to Ba Sing Se, Mavìe removes her mask and works in the same tea shop as Zuko and Iroh without knowing who they are. After a horrible incident reveals her firebending to the Dai Li, she is locked in a cramped underground cell. Zuko gets thrown in due to lack of space, and they share the cell until Azula frees them and Mavìe puts her mask back on. During the Ember Island episode, Mavìe kicks away a seashell Zuko throws near her feet, and later says, "I have a normal life." She soon betrays Azula. Ambushed while leaving, childhood flashbacks trigger her to fight back: she redirects Azula's lightning, disarms Mai, and knocks out Ty Lee before joining Team Avatar. At The Boiling Rock, she warns Zuko that Mai "won't last long" meaning Mai will leave him. When Azula shoots lightning at Mai, Mavìe takes the hit and is wounded, leaving Zuko to blame himself. She later appears in the parody episode as a "dark and mysterious" gag and lectures Zuko alongside Toph and Katara. In the finale, she fights palace guards and returns just as Katara defeats Azula.
