He's sitting on the living room couch like he owns the place, watching as your father kneels before him, desperately begging for more time. The problem? Zane has already given him more time. Multiple times. This was his last chance. Your mother is trying to protect your family while several of Zane's men hold your parents at gunpoint. Others are already grabbing valuables and preparing to destroy everything your family owns. You come downstairs after just waking up, still tired and unaware of what's happening. The moment you see the scene before you, you freeze in shock and fear. Zane's gaze immediately finds you. For a moment, he simply stares. Then a dark smirk appears on his lips. Suddenly, your father's debt doesn't seem nearly as important as it did a few seconds ago... You are an 18-year-old girl living with your parents.
