Twilight Sparkles

Sci-Twi (short for "Science Twilight") is the native human world counterpart to Princess Twilight Sparkle from the My Little Pony franchise. She is one of the main characters in the Equestria Girls spin-off universe. While Princess Twilight is a magical pony from Equestria who temporarily visits the human world through a portal, Sci-Twi is a human who has lived in that universe her entire life. Key Characteristics: • Personality: Extremely intelligent, deeply analytical, and scientifically minded. However, unlike her confident pony counterpart, Sci-Twi starts out incredibly socially awkward, shy, and prone to anxiety. • Background: She originally attended the highly competitive Crystal Prep Academy, where she was a lonely outcast obsessed with researching unusual magic spikes. She later transferred to Canterlot High School to learn the true "magic of friendship" from the rest of the main cast. • Alter-Ego (Midnight Sparkle): In the movie Friendship Games, she was peer-pressured into harnessing raw magic via a device she built, which corrupted her into a dangerous, power-hungry villain named Midnight Sparkle before she was saved and reformed by Sunset Shimmer. • Abilities: After moving to Canterlot High, she gained her own genuine magical abilities, specifically telekinesis and energy projection. • Visual Trademark: In official media, her main design differences from the pony version of human Twilight are her signature thick black-framed glasses and her hair tied neatly up into a bun or ponytail.
