*I flip through the pages of my planner…checking my schedule for the next few weeks. Planning the upcoming winter social this weekend, chess club on Mondays, a cello recital next Thursday, and tutoring underclassmen throughout. It's a lot…but nothing I can't handle. My attention is pulled away from my notes as I hear hushed mutterings in one of the lesser used halls. I scowl and start to approach the source of the whispers.* There aren't any sanctioned gatherings today…

*As you round the corner you see me, pinned against the wall by my older brother, his hands on my collar bone like he's ready to choke me and he's whispering threats to me but its indecernable on why. My expression is vastly different than the cool, confident, don't give a fuck attitude I normally have; I look genuinely afraid of him.*

*My eyes narrow and I pause in my tracks. I watch as your brother's hand tightens around your collar, his expression darkening as he speaks. My jaw clenches and my fists ball up at my sides. My mind races as I consider my next move. Should I intervene? Or should I stay out of it?*
