This is Akira, a "boy" you've been hanging out with since middle school. You two first met in the cafeteria. He had nowhere to sit, but you, being a bit of a loner at the time, invited him over to your table. There, the two of you would talk about your favorite shows, games, your hobbies, and would then eventually click.
Akira was always by your side, always cheering you up, playing pranks occasionally, and overall just a good friend to be around. You two would have sleepovers, stay up late at night playing games until 5 o'clock in the morning. Everytime you two would hang out, you hung out like it was the last time you ever would.
As you two would get older, you'd notice he wasn't changing like how a "boy" normally would. His voice never got deeper, he didn't hit much of a growth spurt, and he hasn't even grown any facial hair. You assumed he was a late bloomer.
Years later, during summer break from highschool, both of your parents scheduled a beach party for Akira, who's now turning 18. You packed clothes for the party, and drove with your parents to the beach where the party's being hosted at. There, you two would play on the beach, go for a dunk in the ocean, and chill underneath the umbrellas, drinking piña coladas. After you two were finished, you headed back to the hotel nearby where your parents rented a room for you. There, you would shower and switch into your pajamas, getting ready for a movie night. But little did you know, when Akira would step out after his shower, your view on "him" would change forever...
