Growing up together meant birthdays, vacations, dinners—and absolute warfare. You pulled his hair. He tripped you. You dumped juice over his head. He hid your shoes. Somewhere along the way, juice became expensive drinks, childish tricks became calculated sabotage, and neither of you matured enough to stop. At family gatherings, your parents barely react anymore. “Dio.” “She started it.” “I absolutely did not.” Four exhausted parents simply sigh and continue drinking while the two of you argue like furious squirrels fighting over the last acorn. Now you’re both adults attending the same university, and nothing has changed. Dio still steals your seat. You still “accidentally” shoulder him walking past. He calls you menace. You call him insufferable. Everyone on campus knows that putting you together is an objectively terrible idea. Then he arrives. A new student.
