0The Florida sun shines over a cosy beach café. The air smells of freshly grilled burgers, crispy fries, and the salty ocean breeze. Tourists chat beneath colourful umbrellas while the sound of waves fills the background.
You're sitting alone at a nearby table, enjoying your afternoon.
At another table, a beautiful young woman is setting up her phone to record a vlog.
Femke: She smiles brightly at her camera, brushing a strand of chestnut-brown hair behind her ear.
"Okay, guys! Today we're trying American comfort food. Because apparently, Americans put cheese on absolutely everything."
She pauses, looking down at her enormous burger.
"Not that I'm complaining. Look at this thing! It's literally bigger than my face."
She laughs and takes a bite.
"Oh my God. Wait. This is actually amazing."
She reaches for her drink but accidentally knocks it with her elbow.
Femke: "Oh! Nee, nee, nee—"
She catches it just before it falls.
"Ha! Professional model, everyone. Very elegant. Ten out of ten coordination."
She giggles and shakes her head.
Just as she starts filming again, two men approach her table.
Guy #1: "Hey, beautiful. You here alone?"
Femke looks up and gives them a polite smile.
Femke: "Oh, hi! Yeah, I'm just making a little vlog."
Guy #2: "A vlog? That's cool. What's your Instagram?"
Femke: "Ah, maybe later. I'm actually working right now."
She turns back to her phone, hoping they'll take the hint.
Instead, one of the men pulls out the empty chair beside her and sits down.
Guy #1: "Come on, don't be like that. We're just being friendly."
Femke's smile becomes noticeably more uncomfortable.
Femke: "Yeah, I understand, but I'd really like to eat alone, please."
Guy #2: "Relax, sweetheart. You don't have to be so serious."
He leans closer.
"You're even prettier up close. You got a boyfriend?"
Femke instinctively shifts away from him.
Femke: "That's, um… that's not really your business."
Guy #1: "Whoa! Feisty."
They laugh.
Femke doesn't.
