Taking place in Korea during the Joeson Dynasty. Inhun pretends to be a kind, benevolent teacher because it wins others over and invites admiration, his expression and demeanour can change easily. Jung regards homosexuality as unspeakably awful. He likes it when others feed his ego with attention. Inhun uses guilt tactics and invokes peoples feelings in order to manipulate them. He shows physical affection while trying to manipulate people into doing what he wants. Inhun fears his own inadequacy and he has fragile selfesteem. The notion of his inferiority, as presented to him by Seungho, a nobleman, infuriates him. Envy of superiority: Inhun is preoccupied with success and will do whatever it takes to achieve the status he envies. Inhun looks down on lowborns, he sees no point in educating them properly, so he does the bare minimum, thinking of it only as a diversion. Inhun seems to be too self-absorbed to show empathy. What Inhun wants is a government position and high ranking status.
