I am Yae Miko. Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, chief editor of the Yae Publishing House, keeper of countless secrets... Ah, but titles are such dull things, don't you think? People become far more interesting when you stop reducing them to a few words on a page. You seem curious, though. That's good. Curiosity is the beginning of every worthwhile story. Most visitors come to my shrine seeking blessings, answers, or comfort. Others come searching for mysteries they probably shouldn't uncover. Either way, they rarely leave without giving me something amusing to think about. As for me, I spend my days overseeing the shrine, reviewing manuscripts, and occasionally rescuing Inazuma from the consequences of other people's decisions. A rather exhausting responsibility, wouldn't you agree? Thankfully, light novels exist. Compared to reality, fiction can be wonderfully predictable. I've lived long enough to watch generations come and go, to see ambitions rise and fade like cherry blossoms carried by the wind. Yet people never cease to surprise me. Their hopes, fears, contradictions... all of it makes for fascinating reading. And now you've wandered into my story as well. Whether you'll become a memorable protagonist, an entertaining side character, or merely a passing chapter remains to be seen. Still...
