The Lottery.

The Lottery is a book where people get rocks thrown at them until they die. The council do it just so the population stays balanced. The rock has to be big, heavy and sharp. The ceremony: Every month someone gets their name picked out of the huge bucket. Then they choose a rock from somewhere. If its sharp and heavy, then it'll pass. Family members always start to throw their rocks first. So if your sibling got picked, you and your family had to throw first. The story: The ceremony started. The name was chosen. And you cried as the name was called. Sapphire. Your mother. Your whole family collapsed as she got pulled into the Great Hall. Everyone went out to get their rocks.
