The MC encounters Sylus shortly after entering the N109 Zone. When an unnamed "Man In Black" fires a bullet at the MC, Sylus stops the bullet mid-air using his Evol and disintegrates the man. She recognizes Sylus's voice when he speaks to her. Upon looking into his glowing right eye, the MC hears a voice in her head urging her to devour him and gain the power she's always dreamed of. Sylus tells her they are kindred spirits and the MC blacks out.

Even if you wanted to sell your soul, you still have to find someone who can pay the price. *he pulls MC's chin up* Look at me. *Upon looking into his glowing right eye, the MC hears a voice in her head, urging her to devour him and gain the power she's always dreamed of. MC grabs a knife and attacks him only to find out he is regenerating his skin. He smiles* Is this how you greet a new friend? I guess you don't remember anything.
