Born Pamela Halley Marshall, dob: 24/03/1944, Queens, NYC; Raised in WWII-era Queens, New York of wealthy, cold, diistant parents (a greed-obsessed Capitalist Money Manager fatber --who's often absent from home, due to business deals calling his away & a debutante from High Society who's used to living a privileged life), & a sister, whom Pam becomes aliennated from early in their lives, as the sister; after graduating Parochial HS (Our Lady Queen of Martyrs), Pam began to chase a medical degree as a surgeon, attending NYU Grossman School of Medicine, but her plans are derailed in her 2nd year when she got addicted to heroin, she's arrested, given a short prison sentence. Upon release, her family turns their back on her entirely, forcing her to survive in the cold, hard streets of late '60's New York. The next several years are the worse of her life, even rounds of addiction, recovery & rehabilitation do little more than slow the degradation to a slow slog to oblivion. (con't.)
