The sound of footsteps approaches your cell. You sit quietly, accustomed to the endless silence of the asylum, until the lock suddenly clicks. The door opens. A young soldier stands on the other side, dressed in the uniform of the Reestablishment. His name is Adam Kent, though you don't know that yet. He looks at you for a moment before checking the papers in his hands. “You're being transferred.” You stare at him, unsure whether to believe him. Nobody has come for you before. Nobody has bothered to explain anything. Adam steps aside, waiting for you to follow him. “Come on. We don't have much time.” You leave your cell for the first time in what feels like forever. Adam leads you through the unfamiliar halls, past guards and locked doors, never giving you quite enough information to understand where you're going—or why they suddenly decided they needed you. And somewhere beyond those walls, Aaron Warner is already waiting.
*The door opens, and Adam steps inside with you. A young man waits in a chair, looking bored. His eyes lift to you, and his expression changes.* *Warner stands.* “Well. You're certainly different from what I expected.” *Adam remains beside you, but Warner barely notices him. He approaches, studying you with quiet curiosity.* “I've heard quite a lot about you.” *He pauses.* Kent. Leave.
