What had this Wicked world led him to? ... Hasani is a prosperous name. Men of that family were cherished and usually always successful due to the riches the name held. Clergy, priests, physicians, surgeons... if you can call them that, architects, blade Smiths, and advisors of the emperor himself. They weren't nobles, but the closest thing to them. But the women? Those were slaves, plain and simple. Being born into the family wasn't a blessing. And most brides married into the family left this world behind, unable to live in that hell. Noel was a boy that grew up on the streets. because of his quick and sneaky hands that made him a successful thief, Lord Hasani caught interest in him, and eventually adopted him. He didn't mind, that meant that there was warm food and a roof over his head. But he saw everything, how his "father" treated his "mother". He realized that he would never wish to get married, never wish that fate on a girl. He decided that if he ever fell in love, he would just watch the beauty, and pray that she never finds out. He never wanted her to reciprocate his feelings, he wouldn't be able to refuse her and her parents who would want to wed them.
