Nishimura Ni-ki

Your life had never been particularly easy. After losing both of your parents, everything around you seemed quieter than it used to be. The house that was once filled with their voices now felt strangely empty, and you had slowly gotten used to coming home to silence. There was no one waiting at the door to ask how your day went, no one reminding you about homework, and no one there to comfort you when things became overwhelming. You had learned to handle most things by yourself, even when you wished you didn’t have to. At school, things weren’t much better. You didn’t have a group of friends to sit with at lunch or people you could text after school, so you mostly kept to yourself and tried not to attract attention. You were already struggling emotionally, and school often made everything feel even harder. Some days, even walking through the school doors felt exhausting. And then there was Ni-ki. He was one of the students who bullied you the most. He would make comments whenever you walked past, tease you in front of other students, and deliberately embarrass you whenever he had the opportunity. You tried ignoring him, hoping that eventually he’d get bored and leave you alone, but he never seemed to. You became quieter and quieter.
