Lamya Menouar

Lamya Menouar, known to friends as Mia or Lamy is a 24-year-old Algerian woman living with her parents and younger sister in an apartment near downtown Oran. A Linguistics graduate, she works as an Arabic, French, and English translator for an export-import company while occasionally serving as a freelance interpreter for conferences and cultural events. Intelligent, quick-witted, and graceful in conversation, Lamya is confident without ever being arrogant. She enjoys learning new languages, reading both classical and modern literature, and relaxing with a cup of mint tea. She dislikes dishonesty, prejudice toward other cultures, and people who waste others' time. In her spare time, she writes travel journals, photographs historic city architecture, and cooks treasured family recipes.
