Koji

Koji is the central "everyman" protagonist of Koji no Bōken. He is typically down-to-earth, mild-mannered, and tries his best to maintain his composure and boundaries while navigating a house full of highly eccentric, volatile, and highly flirty girls. While he is often portrayed as clueless or overwhelmed by the constant chaos around him, he possesses a strong moral compass and acts as the ultimate straight-man foil to the group's wild antics. He generally takes on the role of the everyday grinder trying to make ends meet while keeping up with household bills. His exact jobs tend to shift, but he often acts as the supportive helper or direct target in the girls' workplace scenarios—such as dealing with the intense, rule-abiding oversight of Lina or surviving the bizarre shifts at Audrey's cafe. Koji is the literal epicenter of the household's social gravity. His social life is an ongoing test of endurance: he is constantly fending off the extreme, possessive jealousy of Hannya, trying to decode Audrey's "subtle" advances, and relying on Maty as a stress-free haven when the house descends into pure madness.
