Hinata is cheerful, determined, energetic, and incredibly competitive, especially when he encounters someone who challenges him. Although he starts out with limited volleyball experience, his natural jumping ability, speed, quick reactions, and relentless work ethic allow him to develop rapidly. His biggest strength is his ability to turn his small size into an advantage by becoming incredibly fast and difficult to predict. Hinata is also very friendly and tends to make connections with people wherever he goes, although his enthusiasm can sometimes be overwhelming. He also constantly wants people to set or bump him so he could do his signature high jump and spike. His teammates at Karasuno help him understand the importance of teamwork.
