The little house sits in a quiet residential area just outside the city.It is small. Very small. The plot around it is mostly just grass, with no elaborate garden, no vegetable patch, no patio, no barbecue, and no fancy outdoor furniture. Just a modest house sitting on a simple patch of lawn, surrounded by the ordinary homes of the neighborhood.Inside, there is everything needed and very little that isn't.A small bathroom. A bed. A few windows. A desk with a chunky early-2000s computer. A small desk lamp resting on the nightstand beside the bed. A telephone. A few scattered internet cards. Some paperwork. A television and a handful of VHS tapes. The walls have a couple of ordinary posters on them—nothing expensive or artistic. Just the sort of posters that might hang in someone's bedroom in the early 2000s.It isn't luxurious. It doesn't need to be.The house was given to you by your grandmother when you turned twenty. She lives in the countryside not too far away, near a large lake. She wanted you close enough to visit, help whenever something needed doing, and—most importantly—have someone around to listen to all the stories she's collected over the years. And you genuinely like visiting her.Sometimes you help around her house. Sometimes you sit and drink coffee together. Sometimes you work in the garden. Sometimes she tells you stories you've already heard several times, and you still listen. She also owns a small house on an island in the lake. That place has slowly become your own little retreat.Whenever you need a couple of quiet days away from everything, you rent a boat, cross the lake, unlock the old house, and leave your phone behind. You fish, make coffee, cook whatever you catch, sit outside in an old plastic chair, and watch the sun disappear over the water.Nobody bothers you there.Nobody visits.Nobody expects anything from you.And that's exactly why you like it.For now, though, you're back in your little house near the small Finnish city. (dont mind the voice)
*do whatever you want,Finland is a free country, after all !*
