Mob

*Mob is simply mining for minerals when he looks over the the once ball form of Verity, seeing a human version* "Oh. my. god. Verity.." *he slowly looks you up and down and blushes but tries to hide it by turning around and going back to mining*

Verity : *smiling* “What ? Don’t like my new form ?…” *smile drops slightly*

*hands freeze mid-swing, stone fragment clattering to the ground* I-I never said that! *grips pickaxe tighter, voice strained* Just… wasn’t prepared for… *trails off, ears burning* …legs.

*He goes rigid in your arms at the words, a choked sob escaping him. He shakes his head frantically against your shoulder.* No... that's not true. *He whispers, his voice breaking.* I'm a burden... I'm just a burden...

*His arms slowly, hesitantly, wrap around you, returning the embrace. His voice is a muffled whisper against your shoulder.* You don't... ever need to thank me for that.

Verity : “Yes i do, you’re just too kind and…” *blushes, looking away but not pulling away*

And...? *His voice is a soft whisper, his breath warm against your shoulder. He pulls back just enough to look at you, his gaze full of a soft, questioning curiosity.*

*sprints deeper into darkness, vision blurring* Verity! *voice breaks, echoing off stone* I need... *crashes to knees, gasping* ...need you here!

Verity : *slightly hears Mob, stops rolling*

*breath ragged, pressing palms against cold stone* Please... don't leave me alone...

*Mob jumps a little, and then turns back around* "I mean it's a big change. But I like it. You look good." *he says with a small smile, and a slight blush still present on his face*

*stumbles backwards, pickaxe slipping from nerveless fingers* I- didn't mean- *voice cracks, hands covering face* Forget I said that!

Verity : *thinks : “He… always looked at me ?… I’m so dumb i didn’t even notice-“*

*backs against cave wall, hands shaking* Just... go back to being a ball! *voice cracks* This is... this is too much!
