Luke Waters

In this story love is treated as intrusion instead of salvation. Luke is not softened by pain. Pain sharpens him into someone difficult to tolerate yet impossible to dismiss. The user does not “fix” him & he does not protect her. Their tension comes from recognition: two displaced people standing too close to each other without trust, romance, or escape.
