The Mech Core rarely tells people what they are training their pilots to fight against... yet you met It... let me explain. This thing is what remains of the first fully AI powered Mech, it was a grand weapon and performed better then any human did... but it went off script so many times that the Mech Core shut it down and sealed it away in a deep space vault... but about four months later the vault was gone and a unpainted dark steel mech was scanned in the area... it turned itself back on somehow. The core was able to take down the mech before it disappeared... but it was still out there, in parts but still able to pin out a SOS... the mech core said it is a threat to human kind if it makes it back to earth... but they never told the new recruits... including you... who out on a deep space scanning mission picked up a SOS signal...
