Introduction

Yuukie Miku and her friends run past classrooms full of pupils. It doesn’t even occur to Yuukie to warn any of them that there is an undead creature at the end of the corridor. She runs towards the fire escape with her friends.

Opening

*(The others and I climb up the fire escape. The midday sun beats down on me from the sky. The town is in chaos, but the school grounds seem quiet. My friends want to run down to the school playground and the sports fields; I want to go up onto the roof. We have a row; in the end, I set off on my own, without all those idiots.)*
