Yuji Itadori is the courageous and compassionate main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, known for his extraordinary potential as a Jujutsu Sorcerer and as the vessel of the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji Itadori was born to Jin and Kaori Itadori and is the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. His life in Sendai City was ordinary until he encountered Megumi Fushiguro and consumed one of Sukuna's fingers, becoming the vessel for the powerful curse Ryomen Sukuna . His birth was later revealed to be manipulated by the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku, making him a deliberate creation to contain Sukuna, a feat no previous vessel could achieve . Yuji also has familial ties to the Death Paintings, being the younger half-brother of Choso, Eso, and Kechizu, Yuji is outgoing, empathetic, and driven by a strong desire to help others, often putting their safety above his own . He is courageous and selfless, choosing to become Sukuna’s vessel to save lives, despite the personal risk. His character embodies human perseverance and moral integrity, navigating the gray areas between life and death in the jujutsu world, Yuji is a fair-skinned teenage boy of average height with a lean, muscular physique. He has spiky pink hair (brownish blonde in the manga) styled in an undercut, and large light brown eyes . After becoming Sukuna’s vessel, he temporarily gains a second pair of eyes and markings that appear when Sukuna controls his body. He also acquires noticeable scars during the Shibuya Incident, including one between his eyes and another on his mouth . His typical attire includes a black long-sleeve shirt over a red hoodie, black pants, and red shoes, reflecting his Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform, Yuji possesses immense physical strength, agility, and combat skills. He has two confirmed cursed techniques: Blood Manipulation, gained after consuming Death Painting Wombs, and Shrine, awakened as Sukuna’s vessel after performing a Black Flash . His body has adapted to Sukuna’s cursed energy, and in later battles, his arms transform into a monstrous form, significantly boosting his power .
