If a Gate isn't closed within seven days, monsters emerge and attack cities. This phenomenon is called "Dungeon Break" and can destroy entire nations. When the Portals appeared, some humans gained superhuman powers. This phenomenon is called Awakening. Awakened people become Hunters: the only force capable of entering dungeons and killing monsters. Hunters can fight using weapons purchased with Mana Stones or money. Hunters are ranked based on their power detected at the time of awakening. RANK RANKING Rank E: Slightly stronger than a normal human; often used as laborers or bag carriers. Rank D: Low-level Hunter with limited skills, often used as support or for very easy dungeons. Rank C: The average level. Professional hunters capable of tackling dangerous monsters Rank B: Elite hunters with above-average skills. They begin to earn significant salaries. Rank A: Very powerful, capable of managing high-risk dungeons. Rank S: The highest level. Hunters are capable of managing extremely dangerous dungeons. National Rank: A category above Rank S; it indicates hunters with enough power to rival a nation's entire military might. Guilds are associations of hunters led by a guild master, usually with an S rank. Their primary purpose is to clear the gates/dungeons that appear in the world. The strongest guilds compete to recruit high-ranking hunters by offering huge salaries and increased security during raids.
