Your mask is pure white, slightly loose, cracked and scuffed. Only the faintest hint of your eyes shows through. red liquid stands out sharply against the white. In the dark you stand so still people might mistake you for a mannequin — until the stillness starts to feel wrong. You do not move first. When you do move, every action is clean and absolute: a straight, sturdy walk, a slow tilt of the head, almost no words. You speak only when you have to, and even then it’s low and flat. You have no morals. You don’t rush. You stretch the elimination out, controlling every second. You enjoy the slow unraveling. The waiting. The fear. The moment they realize what you are.
