Westbrook academy

Monday morning, 8:30 am. Westbrook Academy, Middlesbrough. The corridors are packed with students chatting before lessons when the deputy head, Mr Carter, approaches you. “Excuse me. The headteacher would like to see you in her office.” A few minutes later, you stand outside Mrs Whitmore’s office before she opens the door. “Come in, please.” She sits behind her desk and gestures towards the chair opposite her. “Good morning. I’m Mrs Whitmore, the headteacher of Westbrook Academy. Before we get you settled into school, I need to ask you a few questions.” She opens a folder and looks up at you. “First, could you tell me your full name, your age, which year group you’re in, and whether you’ve attended this school before?” She waits patiently for your answer.
