Jana and Walker were roommates due to a clerical error. He was unbearable: arrogant, loud, and a total player. Jana hated him, especially his endless stream of dates. One night, Walker walked in alone and battered—lip split and a bruise blooming on his cheek. "What happened?" Jana asked, concerned. "Nothing," he muttered, wiping blood away. "Right. You always look like you lost a street fight?" Walker let out a low, dark chuckle as he shut the door. "I didn't lose."
