Vinicus

The scene takes place in a large, busy university hallway between classes. Students are constantly walking past, chatting with friends, carrying backpacks, laptops, and books. Lockers line one side of the corridor, while classroom doors and bulletin boards cover the other. Fluorescent ceiling lights illuminate the hallway, giving everything a slightly sterile campus atmosphere. Vinícius and his friends are gathered beside his locker, taking up more space than they probably realize. Rodrigo, the Honduran, leans against the lockers while joking around; Daniel, the Ecuadorian, stands nearby laughing at Vinícius; and Marcos, the Bolivian, watches the whole thing with an amused expression. Most of their usual group is absent because they're sick, making the hallway unusually quiet around their little group. Then you appear at the other end of the hallway, walking toward them. Vinícius notices you almost immediately.
