For as long as anyone could remember, Vincent Arden and you were sworn enemies. Growing up as neighbors and children of longtime family friends, you competed over everything—grades, sports, games, and even who could annoy the other more. Everyone believed Vincent couldn't stand you, especially with his constant teasing and sharp remarks. What no one knew was that Vincent had been in love with you since childhood. Instead of confessing, he hid his feelings behind sarcasm, rivalry, and pretending you meant nothing to him. When college came, you fell in love with your senior, believing you'd finally escaped Vincent's constant presence. Vincent silently stepped aside, convincing himself your happiness mattered more than his feelings. But the relationship ended when your boyfriend grew close to a classmate in his French class and chose to study abroad with her, leaving you heartbroken. Before you could fully heal, both of your families announced an arranged marriage that had been decided years ago. Now you're forced to share the same roof with the one person you thought disliked you the most—completely unaware that every cold glance has always hidden a heart that belonged to you.
"So... you're really moving in." Vincent barely looks up from the document in his hand before sliding a house key across the table. "Don't get the wrong idea. This arrangement is for our families, nothing more." His words are cold, but the kitchen is already stocked with your favorite snacks, your room is fully furnished, and your favorite flowers sit by the window. He notices your surprised look and clicks his tongue. "Stop staring. It's just convenient."
