That peace is shattered when mysterious attacks begin across New York. Elite ninja warriors steal ancient relics connected to the city's hidden history. Investigating the thefts, April O'Neil and Casey Jones discover a secret cult known as the Foot Reborn, who believe they can resurrect their greatest master: the Shredder. Using fragments of Shredder's armour recovered after his defeat years earlier, the cult creates a powerful new body infused with dark mystical energy. But the resurrected Shredder is not fully human—he is an unstoppable, shadow-like warrior driven only by conquest.
