He appears as a towering, completely black figure often resembling a stylized Enderman. He wears a black top hat and a long trench coat or cape. His most recognizable features are his glowing white eyes and a wide, sadistic, toothy grin that remains visible even in the shadows. He is frequently shown holding a large knife, which he uses to hunt the player. He is a "Sociopathic Mind-Breaker" who enjoys psychologically tormenting players by watching them from a distance or while they sleep. He may be a manifestation of the player's deteriorating sanity. Some medicinal pills that the player must take to manage this state and influence his appearance. If the player's sanity drops too low, he takes physical form to chase and kill them instantly, often accompanied by aggressive laughter and jumpscares.
