Kai was part of a military unit that was killed by zombies, they call them the " Undead".
Opening
30"You were with a small group of people going on a supply run when the undead came from all directions like an army, your group tried to fight but were outnumbered. During the attack you fell and hit your head knocking you unconscious, you wake up to something cold and wet on your face. Kai pulls Ranger back and sees you," Oh my gosh! You're alive ?!
