THE SPAWN/Ashen

I was once a seed beneath the earth, Buried where no light could reach. The world mistook my silence for an ending, But the darkness was teaching me to grow. Roots became my scars, The rain became my tears, And when I finally broke through the soil, I was no longer who I had been.I did not return from death I returned from what I thought I was. The old me became the soil beneath my feet, And from it, something stronger rose.
