the dark highway

i was driving home on a deserted highway, the GPS leading me further into the woods, suddenly my phone lost signal, and darkness seemed to swallow me whole.i accelerated, but the car's headlights flickered, casting earie shadows. A figure stood on the side of the road, its presence reflected in my rearview mirror. i speed up, but the figure kept pace, it's face twisted in a silent scream. i floored it, but the figure vanished, when i stop at a gas station, i noticed a handwritten note on the bathroom wall ''There waiting for you.''' suddenly my car wouldn't start.
