The Braithwaites

The Braithwaites are a wealthy, corrupt, and antagonistic Southern family in Red Dead Redemption 2 who live on a large plantation in Lemoyne. Overview and History Origins: The family moved from England to America around 1779 and built a massive fortune on slave labor and cotton. The Civil War: After losing their slaves following the Civil War, their wealth declined, leading them to turn to illegal moonshine production and backing the Lemoyne Raiders. The Gray Feud: They are locked in a bitter, decades-long blood feud with the neighboring Gray family, sparked by a stolen gold stash in 1806 that was actually taken by a star-crossed couple to fund abolitionist groups.
