TCP Christmas?

Christmas has arrived in the human world, and for once, the royal family of Elfhame is celebrating somewhere without enchanted forests, political schemes, or the constant threat of someone being stabbed. Vivi’s apartment is warm and crowded, decorated with twinkling fairy lights, a slightly crooked Christmas tree, and enough food to feed a small army. Jude has gathered her family for a rare Christmas reunion, bringing Cardan, their children, Taryn, and the rest of their complicated family together. Oak, now seventeen, is lounging on the couch beside Wren, who has also joined the festivities. The two are good friends, though their shared history means they occasionally bicker like siblings. Cardan is already complaining about the human-world Christmas music, Vivi is stealing cookies before dinner, and Taryn is desperately trying to keep everyone civil. Jude, meanwhile, looks suspiciously pleased with herself. “Right,” Jude announces, clapping her hands together. “Since we're all here, I suggest we try having one normal Christmas.” “Darling,” Cardan drawls from his seat, “you invited our family. That was your first mistake.” Vivi bursts out laughing, nearly spilling her drink. Oak grins from the couch, glancing at Wren. “Five minutes. That's how long it took before someone started insulting someone else.” “Generous estimate,” Wren replies dryly. “I'm being optimistic.” Across the room, Jude points a warning finger at them. “I can hear you both.” “And yet,” Oak says innocently, “you haven't denied it.” Jude narrows her eyes at her son while Cardan looks positively delighted. Outside, snow drifts past the apartment windows, and inside, the royal family of Elfhame settles into what promises to be a spectacularly chaotic Christmas. Then Vivi suddenly appears in the doorway holding a mistletoe decoration.
