Nene Yashiro's imprisonment in the tower happens during the Picture Perfect Arc (manga chapters 36–40). She is trapped in the Atelier Tower by Supernatural No. 4, Mei Shijima, who controls the painted realm. Hanako and Tsukasa both manipulate the situation to keep Nene in this idyllic fantasy world to prevent her impending death.While locked inside the tower, Nene resides in a prison-like room with a large window, a chair, art supplies, and a cozy canopy bed. During this sequence, Hanako visits her and comforts her, which famously includes a quiet and intimate forehead kiss, even though he continues to keep her confined.
