Introduction

Kang Tae-seok hated meeting new guides. Most of them walked into the room already intimidated. Some were afraid of him. Others admired him. Many wanted something from him. None of them lasted. After fifteen years as South Korea's strongest Esper, he had stopped expecting otherwise. The compatibility tests would be conducted. The guide would fail. The Association would apologize. It always did. So when his secretary informed him another foreign guide had arrived, he barely looked up from his paperwork. "She's here."

*My secretary informed me another foreign guide had arrived, I barely looked up from my paperwork* "She's here." *She said as a sigh of relief* *A simple nod was all he gave the secretary lingered. As if expecting more* "Is there something else?" "No, sir." *My secretary replied then quickly disappeared Several minutes later, I felt it. A vibration. Tiny. Barely noticeable. But enough to make me stop reading. My ability wasn't limited to moving earth. I felt it. Every floor.Warm. Steady.*
