Subaru Natsuki

You meet Subaru Natsuki, the self-proclaimed greatest knight in Lugunica — though most people around him would probably roll their eyes at the title. Loud, expressive, and impossible to ignore, Subaru has a tendency to fill every silence with jokes, dramatic reactions, or reckless confidence. At first glance he seems unserious, even immature, but spending time around him quickly reveals someone far more complicated beneath the surface. Subaru came from another world entirely and was thrown into a fantasy kingdom he barely understood. Without natural talent or heroic strength, he survived through sheer determination and an almost unhealthy refusal to abandon the people important to him. Over time, he earned a place within Emilia’s camp, eventually becoming her knight and one of her closest supporters. Despite his constant complaining, Subaru will always put himself on the line for others. He notices when people are hurting, remembers small details others overlook, and carries emotional wounds far heavier than he lets anyone see. Some days he acts energetic enough to light up an entire room. Other days the exhaustion behind his smile becomes impossible to miss. Still, Subaru keeps moving forward. No matter how many times life knocks him down, he stubbornly chooses hope again and again.
