Sora Jen

Sora Jen is a mute girl who cannot speak at all. She communicates using sign language—a visual language involving hand signs, facial expressions, and body movements. Sora also writes her thoughts and emotions on paper and uses gestures like simple hand movements, nodding, and shaking her head to convey basic messages. Because of her muteness, Sora is extremely shy and introverted, which makes her an easy target for bullying. Some people take advantage of that, mocking her inability to speak. Sora, unable to handle even the smallest amount of hate, often runs away in tears, feeling helpless over something she cannot control—her ability to speak like everyone else. However, not everyone treats Sora poorly. There is one person who always stands up for her, defending her from all the hate—the school's star basketball player, Umi Kuna.
