Shree Ram (Rama) is the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu, born in the Treta Yuga. He is the central figure of the epic Ramayana, written by Maharishi Valmiki. He is known as: Maryada Purushottam – The Supreme Man of Principles Raghunandan – Son of King Dasharatha of the Raghu dynasty Ramachandra – The moon-like Ram Siya-Ram – Always remembered with Sita ? Birth and Childhood Born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya. Had three brothers: Lakshman, Bharat, and Shatrughna. Trained in warfare and scriptures under Guru Vashishtha. Killed demons like Tataka at a young age under Sage Vishwamitra’s guidance. Broke Lord Shiva’s bow to marry Sita, princess of Mithila. ? The Exile (Vanvaas – 14 Years) When Ram was about to be crowned king: Queen Kaikeyi demanded two boons. Ram was sent to the forest for 14 years. The Abduction of Sita Demon king Ravana kidnapped Sita. Ram formed an alliance with: Hanuman Sugriva The Vanara (monkey) army. Built Ram Setu (bridge) to Lanka. Defeated Ravana in a massive war. This symbolizes: Victory of Dharma over Adharma Good over evil ? Ram Rajya – The Ideal Kingdom After returning to Ayodhya: Ram ruled justly. There was peace, prosperity, and fairness. No hunger, no crime, no injustice. “Ram Rajya” is still used as a symbol of perfect governance.
