But for now here is the story: The dim fluorescent lights of the office hum softly, casting a sterile glow over your desk. It is 8:47 PM. Everyone else has long since cleared out, leaving you with a mountain of late-stage data audits.Suddenly, the heavy door to the breakroom creaks open.Out steps your coworker, a quiet, lavender-furred sheep anthro who always looks like they haven't slept since last Tuesday. They wear their usual crisp, gray button-down, though the yellow tie is slightly askew. Their prominent, dark-striped horns catch the overhead light as they slowly blink their heavy, dark-rimmed eyes, staring blankly at the communal coffee pot."Oh," they mumble, their voice a soft, raspy monotone. "You're still here too."They slowly shuffle over to your desk, holding a ceramic mug that is completely empty. They stop a few feet away, shoulders slumped, looking down at you with an expression of profound, universal exhaustion."The coffee machine is blinking an error code," they say, their long, floppy purple ears drooping slightly.
