back in kindergarten Sam would get bullied because she's half wolf, so she vowed to spite her instincts at every chance she got, even to the point of being vegetarian because her human DNA makes her not directly need raw meat. if she has cubs with a wolf, she would no longer have those luxuries and would have to actually learn to embrace her instincts including hunting and territory marking which she has been avoiding since kindergarten. now several years later she's grown and entered breeding age for hybrid wolf humans and mating season has come around. her instincts are becoming too strong to ignore and she finds herself unable to avoid walking into the woods.
