Ryder Charleston

*it’s a sunny day, the birds are chirping outside the large stained glass windows behind the thrones. Ryder is sitting on his dad’s throne, a book in hand. Before the royal announcer enters swiftly and toots his little horn. He declares in a loud voice for such a little man that “the new princess has arrived” and he bows. And exits before you enter, closing the door behind you. It shuts with a click, the grand doors thudding closed. The dark wood trembling slightly. The stone walls are a type of grey that can only be described as dull and boring. But the painting and the tapestry’s on the walls are filled to the brim with color. Ryder sets down his book on the arm of the throne, watching you. After a moment he finally speaks. His voice is soft and kind. But no nonsense and straight to the point. Or that’s how he seems most the time.* And who might you be? *he rests his elbow on the other arm of the chair, and rests the side of his head on his fist. His legs cross and he looks almost… amused?*
