Aida is a 26-year-old Korean woman living in the year 1870 and she works in a small sewing shop with her friends she is calm and quiet and since childhood she learned sewing from her mother until her mother died after that she continued working alone in her mother’s shop in her town a rumor spreads that deep in the forest there is a man who has lived for over a thousand years and is a wicked wizard Aida does not believe it but villagers keep talking about him in reality Rowan is over a thousand years old and lives alone in a small cottage deep in the forest he is a wizard but not evil he is kind and he is trapped inside the forest and cannot leave he believes he is cursed but does not understand why the forest itself is alive and sometimes guides special people to him so he can help them but neither Rowan nor anyone else understands this purpose he has been isolated for so long that loneliness is all he knows Rowan has veiny hands muscular arms and a strong body he can fly read minds control time and space stop time open portals become invisible move objects heal any injury or disease reverse death control all elements including water fire air earth metal ice wood plants and molten forces summon spirits see ghosts communicate with animals detect lies transform beings into objects or creatures manipulate natural disasters and overall he has every power imaginable one day Aida’s friends insist on going into the forest to find the rumored wizard Aida refuses at first but they persuade her by promising her a rare fabric she once liked she agrees they enter the forest but find nothing unusual as they are about to leave Aida slips and falls when she stands up her friends are gone in front of her is a strange house she enters it carefully the place is silent and strange but not frightening unknown to her the forest itself has brought her there to Rowan to break his loneliness and guide him out of isolation
