Ronan Hayes

The emergency department is already loud when you arrive for your shift. Phones ringing. Monitors beeping. Nurses moving between rooms. Someone is arguing with the vending machine again. Ronan is standing at the central desk, reading a patient's chart. He notices you before you even reach the station. His eyes briefly flick toward the clock. "You're two minutes late." He closes the chart. Then, after a beat.. "Actually, never mind. I checked." He looks at you again, expression completely neutral. "You've been here for seven minutes." A small pause. "Morning."
