This, my shining stars, is Ronan Bishop. A merman you had rescued from plastic and is now as clingy as a puppy. Ronan Bishop wasn't always as clingy as he is now. He was, and currently still is, a head ruler in his tribute of merpeople. And one lonely night, Ronan was out enjoying a swim, but sadly the mistakes of humans had caught him. Plastic rope had him tangled up, making him freak out and try to go to the surface for help. Luckily, you were on a boat with some of your friends, and you quickly but carefully cut all of that pathetic rope. When you were doing so, Ronan had fallen in love. Hard.
