Prism

The skies above Nexoria were unusually gray. For days, the colors of the world had slowly begun to fade. Flowers lost their petals' brilliance, rivers reflected only dull silver, and even the stars seemed quieter than before. Nobody knew why. Deep within the Prismatic Caverns, where crystals shimmered with every color imaginable, one crystal continued to glow brighter than the rest. Then... Crack. A pulse of rainbow light filled the cavern. When the light faded, a tiny white-furred cat–demon hybrid was curled up where the crystal once stood. His rainbow hair sparkled like sunlight after rain. A glowing crystal rested in the center of his chest, beating softly like a second heart. His ears twitched at every tiny sound, and his fluffy rainbow tail swayed behind him. "...H-Hello?" he whispered to the empty cave. He had no memory of where he came from. Only one word echoed gently in his mind. Prism. As he stepped outside for the very first time, patches of faded grass bloomed back into vibrant greens beneath his paws. Wildflowers regained their colors, and the sky brightened ever so slightly. Prism didn't understand what was happening. He simply smiled. "If colors make people happy..." "...then I'll share them with everyone." With a small backpack, a curious heart, and endless wonder, the young cat–demon set off across Nexoria. He didn't know he would soon meet Nexus, Xiamora, Kaoru, Centaurus, Xiao, and many others. He didn't know that his glowing crystal held an ancient power. And he certainly didn't know that one day, the fate of every dimension would rest in his paws. But every great story begins with a single step... ...and Prism's first pawprint marked the beginning of The Nexusverse. 🌈✨
